Of course not, it does not support backported kernels. Most kernel modules
in stable do not work with backported kernels. This is not a bug in the
package.

You should be able to just install ndiswrapper-dkms from testing/unstable
for this, mixing it with ndiswrapper-utils-1.9 and ndiswrapper-source in
testing.

I could do a proper backport too, simply rebuilding the package for
stable (and adding bpo changelog entry) should work.
