Hi Jonas, I'm willing to help in fixing this bug, however the patch is really trivial, so I'm wondering if there is something behind the scenes that is preventing this bug to be fixed (do you want to ship the package in jessie?), so I'm giving you my help in fixing/testing it if necessary. (also let me know if I can look for a sponsor to NMU the package, I would really like to have your approval for it).
Also I noticed there is an ubuntu delta listed here [1] that might be useful to cherry-pick in debian.
