Package: icedtea-netx Version: 1.5-2 Severity: serious Justification: Doesn't start
$ javaws launch.jnlp /usr/bin/javaws: line 102: /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk-amd64/jre/bin/java: No such file or directory It seems that this package depends on openjdk 6 or 7. I did recently remove version 6 from my system. The dependencies for this package are still met. javaws should, in this case, either: 1) Be split into two packages, one depending on jdk 6 and the other depending on jdk 7, or 2) have its script automatically detect which one to use. What's more, update-alternatives cannot even be comfigured to use JDK 7: # update-alternatives --config javaws There is only one alternative in link group javaws (providing /usr/bin/javaws): /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk-amd64/jre/bin/javaws Nothing to configure. # ls -l /usr/lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk-amd64/jre/bin/javaws -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 2660 Jun 30 2014 /usr/lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk-amd64/jre/bin/javaws -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages icedtea-netx depends on: ii icedtea-netx-common 1.5-2 ii openjdk-7-jre 7u71-2.5.3-2 icedtea-netx recommends no packages. icedtea-netx suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
