php-crypt-cbc was introduced almost ten years ago as a DTC dependency. Today, only dtc-common depends on it. dtc is RC-buggy, has not been shipped in any stable release besides Lenny, and is now only available from experimental, so I don’t see any reason to keep php-crypt-cbc as part of our releases either. Not sure if it’s worth keeping dtc in our archive anyway (no new upload in almost three years); if it goes away, this package may deserve an RM too. Regards David
