Package: mbr Version: 1.1.11-5+b1 Severity: serious Justification: fails to build from source (but built successfully in the past)
mbr's self-tests use VM86 to run the MBR code under Linux. This kernel feature is only available on i386, so the self-tests are disabled on amd64. However, the self-tests will also fail if mbr is built in an i386 chroot on an amd64 kernel. Furthermore, VM86 will be disabled even on i386 kernels starting with Linux 4.1 (see #792003). Please disable the self-tests or change them to use a software emulator such as libx86.
