Package: gnome-shell Version: 3.16.3-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Dear Maintainer, after the last upgrade of debian unstable this morning, I could use my system as normal until I locked my screen. Once locked, I cannot unlock the lock screen anymore. The password field automatically resets about every second and complains about an "Authentication Error". /var/log/messages is filled with the following entries, also repeating about every second: Jul 30 10:20:17 gnome-session[2133]: (gnome-shell:3999): Gjs-WARNING **: JS ERROR: Failed to open reauthentication channel: Gio.DBusError: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied: No session available Jul 30 10:20:17 gnome-session[2133]: ShellUserVerifier<._reauthenticationChannelOpened@resource:///org/gnome/shell/gdm/util.js:348 Jul 30 10:20:17 gnome-session[2133]: wrapper@resource:///org/gnome/gjs/modules/lang.js:169 The packages upgraded this morning were: Start-Date: 2015-07-30 08:05:57 Commandline: apt-get upgrade Upgrade: bind9-host:amd64 (9.9.5.dfsg-10, 9.9.5.dfsg-11) liblwres90:amd64 (9.9.5.dfsg-10, 9.9.5.dfsg-11) libdns100:amd64 (9.9.5.dfsg-10, 9.9.5.dfsg-11) libisc-export95:amd64 (9.9.5.dfsg-10, 9.9.5.dfsg-11) libisccfg90:amd64 (9.9.5.dfsg-10, 9.9.5.dfsg-11) libbind9-90:amd64 (9.9.5.dfsg-10, 9.9.5.dfsg-11) libnm0:amd64 (1.0.2-2, 1.0.4-1) libsmartcols1:amd64 (2.26.2-6, 2.26.2-9) uuid-dev:amd64 (2.26.2-6, 2.26.2-9) mount:amd64 (2.26.2-6, 2.26.2-9) libpam-systemd:amd64 (222-2, 223-1) libuuid1:amd64 (2.26.2-6, 2.26.2-9) libmount1:amd64 (2.26.2-6, 2.26.2-9) dnsutils:amd64 (9.9.5.dfsg-10, 9.9.5.dfsg-11) udev:amd64 (222-2, 223-1) libfdisk1:amd64 (2.26.2-6, 2.26.2-9) libudev-dev:amd64 (222-2, 223-1) libudev1:amd64 (222-2, 223-1) libudev1:i386 (222-2, 223-1) bsdutils:amd64 (2.26.2-6, 2.26.2-9) libnm-util2:amd64 (1.0.2-2, 1.0.4-1) uuid-runtime:amd64 (2.26.2-6, 2.26.2-9) libnm-glib-vpn1:amd64 (1.0.2-2, 1.0.4-1) systemd-sysv:amd64 (222-2, 223-1) systemd:amd64 (222-2, 223-1) libblkid1:amd64 (2.26.2-6, 2.26.2-9) libnss-myhostname:amd64 (222-2, 223-1) libsystemd0:amd64 (222-2, 223-1) network-manager:amd64 (1.0.2-2, 1.0.4-1) util-linux:amd64 (2.26.2-6, 2.26.2-9) gir1.2-networkmanager-1.0:amd64 (1.0.2-2, 1.0.4-1) libgeoip1:amd64 (1.6.5-2, 1.6.6-1) libisccfg-export90:amd64 (9.9.5.dfsg-10, 9.9.5.dfsg-11) libdns-export100:amd64 (9.9.5.dfsg-10, 9.9.5.dfsg-11) libirs-export91:amd64 (9.9.5.dfsg-10, 9.9.5.dfsg-11) libisccc90:amd64 (9.9.5.dfsg-10, 9.9.5.dfsg-11) libisc95:amd64 (9.9.5.dfsg-10, 9.9.5.dfsg-11) libnm-glib4:amd64 (1.0.2-2, 1.0.4-1) End-Date: 2015-07-30 08:06:33 Restarting gdm or rebooting the system did not help. As I use auto-login the lock screen immediately reappears. I would be glad if you could have a look at this problem.
