Sorry for delayed reply, my machine crashed yesterday and I noticed this mail today. Actually you need to modify control.in.in and package names are mostly set in rules file. I had written a post on this [1], I hope it can clarify things. Normal packages have only control.in where as library packages have control.in.in (forgenerating appropriate library package names).
