I've tested ruby-gsl (1.16.0.6+dfsg1-1) from git, but that still fails
with the same error as reported in #805842:
error: 'gsl_multifit_fdfsolver {aka struct <anonymous>}' has no member
named 'J'
This has been reported in the upstream issue tracker, but hasn't been
fixed yet:

I've merged my bugreport into Dirk's earlier bugreport, as it's pretty
much the same issue.
