Source: libjpeg8
Version: 8d1-2
Severity: serious

Hi,

I guess that libjpeg8 could stay out of testing or even removed from the
archive. Only one package (ipe) depends on libjpeg8, and that package
builds fine with libjpeg-turbo.

After the ctte decision[0], all the packages have transitioned to
libjpeg-turbo.

Cheers,

Laurent Bigonville

Hello Laurent,

I am sure you mean well but the CTTE decision does not require the
removal of libjpeg62/libjpeg8 from stretch.

libjpeg8 is needed for compatibility with wheezy.

Closing this bug.
