Yes, unfortunately this happened with all the non-i386 octave-forge
packages built by the Debian autobuilders. There is a problem with the
octave-config alternative in the build daemons, which I addressed in a
recent post to debian-devel.
I am filling this bug report with severity level set to "grave" until the
bug is fixed. It is unfortunate that this version entered testing already
before we detected the problem.
