I have an idea for a workaround that should avoid this bug until upstream can fix it. Will try to upload soon. In the meantime, this doesn't meet the definition of "grave", IMO. You can still listen to personal/neighbor/loved tracks radio, use the "create custom station" interface, etc. You can also use the last.fm website to create a link to feed the player which is equivalent to the search feature.
