Package: nbd-server Version: 1:3.12-0 Severity: grave Tags: upstream Forwarded: https://github.com/NetworkBlockDevice/nbd/issues/43
There's a data corruption bug in nbd which has existed since the upstream release of 3.12. We should not release nbd in stretch with that bug. I have a preliminary fix, but it needs some testing. However, I'm currently swamped with other work, and this has gone to the backburner a bit. Since I don't want to forget about this issue, filing a bugreport in the Debian BTS should help. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'unreleased'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386, m68k, arm64 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=nl_BE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=nl_BE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages nbd-server depends on: ii adduser 3.115 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.60 ii libc6 2.24-9 ii libglib2.0-0 2.50.2-2 ii libgnutls30 3.5.8-1 ii ucf 3.0036 nbd-server recommends no packages. nbd-server suggests no packages. -- debconf information excluded
