Package: libsdl1.2-dev
Version: 1.2.7+1.2.8cvs20041007-5.1
Severity: serious
Tags: sid

The current version of libsdl1.2-dev depends on libglu1-xorg-dev, even
though libsdl1.2 doesn't have any build-dependencies on GL-related
packages. There is now a libsdl1.2-dev package on sparc with this
build-dependency, even though libglu1-xorg-dev has never been built
there! I realize the NMUer was merely doing a mechanical replacement of
the obsolete package name with the new one, but both forms of this
dependency are garbage and should not have been included in the first
place.

This bug will no longer be of severity: serious once xorg is available
all architectures, but in the meantime this bug has a real impact on the
ability to rebuild other SDL-using packages for the C++ transition and
it should be fixed.

These bugs were fixed in previous NMUs. Acknowledging them.

#246477: Qemu fails to compile, broken sdl-config in libsdl1.2-dev
#318586: libsdl1.2-dev: depends on libglu1-xorg-dev on architectures where it
hasn't been built!
