Ryan, odd version numbers in GNOME packages are development versions.
Those are NOT meant for upload into Debian, except via experimental.
Even worse is that you uploaded it 2 days before GDM 2.14.0 was released.

unstable is the development version of Debian.

Given that gdm only has such a version number because it was inflated
artificially to "match the rest of gnome", the fact that the core of gdm doesn't
even depend on libgnome anymore, I don't see why.  I've been following the
changes in the 2.13 series, and felt that package was far better for users than
what was in the archive.

This isn't even a bug, unless you want to consider it a wishlist for a new
upstream version.  I don't plan to upload 2.14.0 until the gnome libs with
similar versions are uploaded, for the few bits of gdm still using libgnome,
although I'm highly doubtful it will be any different than building against
what's in unstable now.
