I already filed a bug upstream about this: [1]. I know about the option space here. I will likely deactivate the editor, assuming that this works. Otherwise I'll ask for binary removal. I'll note that technically it doesn't need a serious bug because testing migration will be blocked anyhow until it either builds or the crufty binaries are deleted.
