I looked into this and couldn't reproduce it locally, even after trying building the package using different strategies. The only thing I can imagine could make any difference is to use $(CURDIR) in order to make 'mv' operate on fullpaths: mv $(CURDIR)/debian/*-doc/usr/share/doc/*-dev/html $(CURDIR)/debian/*-doc/usr/share/doc/*-doc rm -rf $(CURDIR)/debian/*-doc/usr/share/doc/*-dev But I don't really see how this could help.
