normal use of arduino program
however at the moment the serial connection selection is greyed out
connect to arduino via serial port not working, cannot upload code to arduino
get the following error
java.lang.NullPointerException thrown while loading gnu.io.RXTXCommDriver
this is the same on two different machines running buster
where serial upload was previously working without a problem

Closing the oldest one in case of minor difference I didn't spot.
My first guess on "the serial connection selection is greyed out"
is permission on the serial port. Advise: check it.
Possible solution: please the user running arduino in the group
that may read and write the serial port such as dailout.
