Package: fontconfig Version: 2.13.1-1 Followup-For: Bug #909818 Progress. I had the same problem here(TM). Deleting global and local fontconfig cache did not solve the problem.
After clearing the local fontconfig cache, that cache would be recreated and it would get an additional amount of cache entries, e.g. every time I would start Firefox. In the end, ~/.cache/fontconfig contained around 38000 files. Looking at their content, they pointed to ~/.local/share/fonts. I used custom fonts stored in ~/.local/share/fonts back then but currently the directory is empty. After deletion of ~/.local/share/fonts, the number of files in ~/.cache/fontconfig (After clearing this one a final time) stays small and constant and Firefox is reacting normal again.
