--- Begin Message ---Thank you for your questions, it helped me spot my problem. I had locally patched Kile long ago. /usr/bin/kile was still locally diverted... (Of course this only shows up in dpkg -L and I did not look at this before...) I should have known better, then to assume a bug in your work ;-) Thanks for the help and sorry for the noise.
