Could you be more specific about what exact bugs in the new gjots version are still blocking your upload? If I don't hear from you, I guess I'll try to do an NMU of the new version. By my calculations, gjots2 is 1 of the last 4 packages preventing libgnome's removal from Debian. Other packages that were blocking the removal have been removed from Debian, but that seems a bit unnecessary here if this issue has already been fixed in a version we could update to.
