Hi Michael, Thanks for looking into this for me. It does seem that if you have a setup that includes libsnmp30 but not snmp then this problem will occur.
Looking through the changelog, I can see that snmp.conf has bounced between snmp and the library, but with no real explanation why. I'll put it into the libsnmp-base as suggested. - Craig > >
