The build was made in my autobuilder with "dpkg-buildpackage -A"

If this is really a bug in one of the build-depends, please use reassign and 
affects,
so that this is still visible in the BTS web page for this package.

Great that you want to help chasing this bug.

Unfortunately (for your efforts, not for the package), I already fixed 
this issue, just made a typo in the changelog entry so this bugreport 
didn't get automatically closed.  Sorry!

...or at least that is my guess as to why you cannot reproduce, since 
you mention only the upstream part of the version number: If you tested 
against 1.8.3~dfsg-1 and could not reproduce there, then something else 
is going on...

I recommend that you include full version - including Debian part - in 
your future communications with bugreports.
