--- Begin Message ---Source: r-base Version: 3.6.1-1 Severity: serious Hello, after libselinux has been uploaded in unstable, lots of reverse-dependencies of r-base will start to FTBFS because of missing libpcre3-dev dependency (that was dragged in by selinux) One solution that worked in Ubuntu has been to depend (build and runtime) on both pcre2 and pcre3 development packages this is the changelog I added in Ubuntu r-base (3.6.0-2ubuntu2) eoan; urgency=medium * Require both libpcr{2,3}-dev packages at runtime, so each reverse dependency finds them. This is needed because currently the package pulls libpcr2-dev via libselinux, and libpcr3-dev via glib2.0 development package. The easy way to avoid reverse-dependencies (like littler) to fail to build is to force them both being available on the system, while the longer term plan is to have glib2.0 use libpcr2-dev too.
