I tried to remove postgresql:

(On the first invocation, it (sucessfully) removed postgresql-contrib-8.1

but I did not record the error there)
Please note, that it tries to *start* postgres again.
However, postgresql does not seem to run (no ps entry) and stopping yields:

(IMHO it should state: not running!)
Also there is no script/programm called maininvoke-rc.d:

returns nothing. Could that be the cause for the failure?
