The Debian GNOME team is working to remove pygtk from Debian. pygtk is a set of Python 2 bindings for GTK2. It looks like gpxviewer has already been reported to GObject Introspection and GTK3. All you have left to do for the pygtk removal is to remove python-gtk2 from gpxviewer's Depends. (I'm not actually attaching a patch here but this seems like an easy fix.) Thanks, Jeremy Bicha
