It's hard to debug without > more information. Well, I downloaded that pbf file a few weeks ago before I knew about the wince problem - I used it with mkgmap to successfully produce a Garmin map. So I had no reason to record where I found it. There's been a lot of changes in > maptool between 0.5.3 and 0.5.4. As I noted above, I am planning to try that when I have time which will be after I have the navit/wince problem resolved. I hope not more than a day or two. If the new version works - which I expect to be OK if it is just a version from the git repository - maybe there is no reason to spend much time diagnosing the old version. This bug report should be enough to alert anyone who hits tha same bug to upgrade. Thanks for the reply, ael
