Package: freemind
Version: 0.7.1-6
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
After installing and running the following was displayed:
Exception in thread "main" java.awt.AWTError: Cannot load AWT toolkit:
gnu.java.awt.peer.gtk.GtkToolkit
at java.awt.Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit(libgcj.so.7)
at
java.awt.GraphicsEnvironment.getLocalGraphicsEnvironment(libgcj.so.7)
at java.awt.Window.<init>(libgcj.so.7)
at java.awt.Frame.<init>(libgcj.so.7)
at javax.swing.JFrame.<init>(libgcj.so.7)
at freemind.main.FreeMind.<init>(FreeMind.java:68)
at freemind.main.FreeMind.main(FreeMind.java:500)
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:

at java.lang.Class.forName(libgcj.so.7)
at java.lang.Class.forName(libgcj.so.7)
at java.awt.Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit(libgcj.so.7)
...6 more
This could be resolved by installing "libgcj7-awt", which is not in the
dependency list.
However, freemind remained unusable. Clicking on the menus produced
unexpected results. When trying to open a new map, the following
exception occurred:
Looking for user properties:
/home/USER/.freemind/user.properties
User properties found.
Default (System) Look & Feel: javax.swing.plaf.metal.MetalLookAndFeel
Warning: the font you have set as standard - SansSerif - is not

Hello,
FreeMind does only work with Sun's or Blackdown's Java (check the
dependencies), and not (yet) with gcj/classpath/kaffe or any other free
Java implementation.
For how to change the Java used by FreeMind, check
http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/FreeMind_on_Linux (or man
freemind).
Cheers, Eric
PS: I can force the right JVM to be installed, but not the right one to be
the default, hence it's not even a dependency error.
