I have indeed made the same observation: local sid chroot with many packages installed (B-Ds of other packages mainly) -> the build works.
Build in a clean chroot (via sbuild) -> build fails.I already started looking into this, but had to reprioritize. I will give more time to this (hopefully) the coming week.
