With the latest version, this package links to OpenSSL even though it
does not have any license exception for it. ftp-master considers this a
serious issue. As GnuTLS is enabled as well, please remove the libssl
dependency.

OpenSSL is now considered a system library in Debian, see
http://meetbot.debian.net/debian-ftp/2020/debian-ftp.2020-03-13-20.02.html
So this bug report has become moot, thus closing.
I guess those other bug reports you filed can now be closed as well.
