Package: cacti
Version: 0.8.6h-3
Severity: grave

I am doing the old fashion way, because reportbug is broken (see other bug report =])

I've installed cacti to my server, using "apt-get install cacti" all depencies were installed with it. The website of cacti is working, though when running the poller.php, i get an error:

noc:/etc# sudo -u noc /usr/share/cacti/site/poller.php

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_pconnect() in /usr/share/php/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 373

All is setup correctly so i really don't know what the problem is.

Hopefully someone can help me

I am using Debian Unstable, (updated every day) on a p4 2.8GHz with 2.6.15 kernel.

well while you're doing things the old fashioned way, how about you
look up documentation the old fashioned way, and take a look at
/usr/share/doc/cacti/README.Debian, which i'm fairly certain has
the answer to your problem in it :)
