Thanks for filing this bug and setting affects. The other two bugs
were merged into this one.

It was not a workaround. Lintian stopped using liblist-moreutils-perl
in the development head for unrelated reasons before the new version
was uploaded. (For details, please see Bug#977419.)
Also, in case it is helpful, the new version of 'any' seemed to behave
differently with the somewhat awkward use of $_[0] here.

That code was likewise replaced for unrelated reasons, and is no
longer available in Lintian.
