The last zsh update was 24 June, so quite recently. I changed my login shell to bash (last update 23 march, no local changes to the bash config) and it has exactly the same problem. I've also tried sash and that seems to work fine.. So it still seems like a bug/regression in libnss-ldap (especially since downgrading fixes the problem..)
