Hi, I tried to check whether the new upstream version might fix gcc-13 / Python3.12 issues. I've pushed my work to Salsa but it needs new dependencies (at least https://github.com/emeryberger/Heap-Layers may be two more) and I gave up here since I have no specific interest in this package. Hope this might be helpful anyway.
