Hello Steve and Thomas, as far as I understand, this bug was fixed by
this release of guile-1.6.
                                                                      
guile-1.6 (1.6.8-4) unstable; urgency=low

  * Add upstream fix for continuations crash on ia64. (closes: #291551)

Indeed both guile-1.6 and g-wrap built fine on ia64.

So I am marking this bug as fixed.
