r-cran-gstat does not seem to have a single reverse dependency or reverse build dependency, r-cran-sp only recommends it. Running the r-cran-gstat autopkgtest also during the build (or build-depending on architecture-is-little-endian) plus removal of the s390x binary should be sufficient to fix #1102537. cu Adrian
