Dear Maintainer, I had frequent unexplained problems since an upgrade to forky. BTW I have an iphone2 connected to the computer via usb. I did the upgrade on 1st November 2025. This time, I was internet browsing when the screen (actually the usb mouse) stopped responding. On earlier occasions the keyboard, (also usb) or parts of the keyboard were also unresponsive. This time the keyboard remained active and I was able to log in as root on tty1. I has a look at the syslog, recent entry below : 2025-11-05T09:37:47.171989+00:00 ced2 kernel: iphone-set-info[8650]: segfault at 555e3127dd9a ip 00007fb8722d570d sp 00007ffd23d7fea0 error 7 in libimobiledevice-1.0.so.6.1.0[1070d,7fb8722d> 2025-11-05T09:37:47.172011+00:00 ced2 kernel: Code: 48 85 c9 0f 94 c2 08 d0 0f 85 bf 03 00 00 48 89 fd 48 85 ff 0f 84 b3 03 00 00 48 8b 01 49 89 f5 49 89 cc 48 85 c0 74 09 31 d2 <c6> 40 02 > 2025-11-05T09:37:47.179318+00:00 ced2 systemd-coredump[8908]: Process 8650 (iphone-set-info) of user 0 terminated abnormally with signal 11/SEGV, processing... 2025-11-05T09:37:47.184601+00:00 ced2 systemd[1]: Started systemd-coredump@11-40961-8908_8909-0.service - Process Core Dump (PID 8908/UID 0). 2025-11-05T09:37:47.186150+00:00 ced2 systemd[1]: Started drkonqi-coredump-processor@11-40961-8908_8909-0.service - Pass systemd-coredump journal entries to relevant user for potential DrKo> 2025-11-05T09:37:47.306359+00:00 ced2 rtkit-daemon[1633]: Supervising 9 threads of 2 processes of 2 users. 2025-11-05T09:37:47.309892+00:00 ced2 rtkit-daemon[1633]: Successfully made thread 8912 of process 2027 owned by '1000' RT at priority 5. 2025-11-05T09:37:47.310007+00:00 ced2 rtkit-daemon[1633]: Supervising 10 threads of 2 processes of 2 users. 2025-11-05T09:37:47.331971+00:00 ced2 kernel: iphone-set-info[8646]: segfault at 55e7cdc82d9a ip 00007f143a0de70d sp 00007fff27062310 error 7 in libimobiledevice-1.0.so.6.1.0[1070d,7f143a0d> 2025-11-05T09:37:47.331987+00:00 ced2 kernel: Code: 48 85 c9 0f 94 c2 08 d0 0f 85 bf 03 00 00 48 89 fd 48 85 ff 0f 84 b3 03 00 00 48 8b 01 49 89 f5 49 89 cc 48 85 c0 74 09 31 d2 <c6> 40 02 > 2025-11-05T09:37:47.335352+00:00 ced2 systemd-coredump[8920]: Process 8646 (iphone-set-info) of user 0 terminated abnormally with signal 11/SEGV, processing... 2025-11-05T09:37:47.342848+00:00 ced2 systemd[1]: Started systemd-coredump@12-4099-8920_8921-0.service - Process Core Dump (PID 8920/UID 0). 2025-11-05T09:37:47.345179+00:00 ced2 systemd[1]: Started drkonqi-coredump-processor@12-4099-8920_8921-0.service - Pass systemd-coredump journal entries to relevant user for potential DrKon> 2025-11-05T09:37:47.430173+00:00 ced2 systemd-coredump[8909]: Process 8650 (iphone-set-info) of user 0 dumped core.#012#012Module libzstd.so.1 from deb libzstd-1.5.7+dfsg-2.amd64#012Module > 2025-11-05T09:37:47.432630+00:00 ced2 systemd[1]: systemd-coredump@11-40961-8908_8909-0.service: Deactivated successfully. 2025-11-05T09:37:47.685017+00:00 ced2 systemd-coredump[8924]: Process 8646 (iphone-set-info) of user 0 dumped core.#012#012Module libzstd.so.1 from deb libzstd-1.5.7+dfsg-2.amd64#012Module > 2025-11-05T09:37:47.687625+00:00 ced2 systemd[1]: systemd-coredump@12-4099-8920_8921-0.service: Deactivated successfully. 2025-11-05T09:37:47.819384+00:00 ced2 systemd[1997]: Started dbus-:[email protected].
