while epic4-help came up a few times as a "bug of the day" candidate, I took a closer look today and noticed that the main package epic4 could use some attention. The bug #151947 in epic4-help seems to be either a "wontfix" or ready to be closed, but for epic4 itself I found and tested a fix for the RC issue with gcc-15. Since you've been active with this package -- and uploaded it earlier this year -- I didn't want to open a Salvage bug. I also saw that you maintain several packages on Salsa, so I set up a repository under the Debian/ team namespace [1] to make collaboration easier. You'll find the fix for the build problem there [2], along with a few updates to modernise the packaging. The resulting package builds cleanly, and debdiff confirms it's identical to the one in the archive except for the intended fixes. If you'd like, you can upload or sponsor this version directly -- or, if you prefer, I'd be happy to NMU it once you agree. I hesitated to upload on my own since moving to Salsa isn't covered by the NMU guidelines. I hope the changes look useful to you. If you're fine with them, I could also migrate epic4-help in the same way.
