I just uploaded gem2deb 2.2.6, and while checking reverse-build-depends, I noticed that protobuf now FTBFS with it. The reason is this commit: https://salsa.debian.org/ruby-team/gem2deb/-/commit/578561a77cf7870ba55e68f204a1cf4de2bb0969 that facts debian/control field names case insensitive. protobuf contains 'X-Dhruby-Root: ruby' which was ignored before (because the correct spelling is DhRuby-Root -- capital R), and is no longer ignored. I'm not sure if just removing that line is the correct fix, or if there's a reason it was added in the first place. Lucas
