Hello, I have finally had the time to look into this issue.
The problem is not reproducible on my KDE system which means it's specific to non-KDE desktop environments or window managers. I will have to install a Debian Forky VM now to verify the dependencies with a minimal GNOME desktop installation. Please bear with me! Adrian -- .''`.
