Thank you for the report!

The FTBFS is due to the way that squishyball (ab)uses ncurses. I am not 
an ncurses expert, and resolving these issues seems to be a game of 
whack a' mole: I'm sure the next ncurses release will trigger another 
FTBFS. I am not likely to resolve this one in time to stop testing 
removal.
