Updating bug metadata - python-xarray upstream consider this a bug in
xarray and that the rioxarray usage is reasonable, so it's for xarray to
fix the valid usage, not for rioxarray to adapt to the xarray change.
A patch for the issue can be found at:
https://github.com/pydata/xarray/pull/11044
While the submitter of the patch (Antonio, Cc'd, also the rioxarray
maintainer) reports that it does not fix rioxarray in their testing, in
my testing, it was enough to fix the rioxarray test suite in the Debian
package and therefore fix the FTBFS bug. Perhaps that's enough of a
reason to include it and upload it right now - Antonio do you agree with
that?
Tho me it is a good approach.
The patch is, in any case, an improvement.
Regrading rioxarray, I will try to re-run the tests locally-
kind regards
