I am the original upstream author of pypureomapi. I wrote it for Cygnusnetworks. The use case was remote controlling the ISC dhcp server and querying/changing its mapping between MAC addresses and assigned IP addresses in particular. I reached out to Cygnusnetworks and confirmed that there is no interest in continued maintenance of this software as they're phasing out its use. It is a very niche package in Debian. Therefore, I suggest removing it from Debian. Please also consider the package orphaned. This bug is supposed to remove pypureomapi from testing via the autoremover. If you stumble into this bug as a user of pyureomapi (e.g. via rc-alert), please tell about your use case in this bug report. If you stumble into this bug as a developer, feel free to adopt pypureomapi. If you stumble into this bug as a QA person and some reasonable amount of time has passed since the filing without noteworthy feedback, consider reassigning it to ftp.debian.org and turning it into a RoM bug with the maintainer's consent.
