Thanks a lot for the report. I'd like to work on fixing this bug, because I see a divergence between the repository and the archive and would like to fix the mess. Will probably switch to debian/latest to avoid conflicts. Am I right to think that by "broken on trixie" you really mean "broken since trixie"? (If yes, I can concentrate on fixing it in unstable first). Thanks.
