Not sure why I'm explicitly CC'd here, I'm no longer involved in maintenance of
this package.
The autopkgtest failure is something that would have been revealed by Salsa CI,
but the new repo doesn't have it configured like it was under the
debian-gis-team namespace.

--pyargs worked when I committed that change:

Reverting back to the old situation of always using the source tree seems fine
