Hello everyone, afuse dropped out of Debian testing due to depending on outdated libfuse2. I'm a daily user of afuse and would like to keep it in Debian. On 9th Jan 2025 I asked Varun Hiremath about #1084453 and got till today no reply. I wrote a small patch which adopts afuse for libfuse3 and prepared a NMU. When I was searching for sponsor Matthias Geiger brought to my attention that I can also salvage the package. Unless the original maintainer is interested in maintaining the package, I would like to maintain the package. The maintainer did the last upload 2013. Since then there were two NMUs by Adrian and Boyuan.
