You already did the right thing. The autoremover primarily handles inactive RC bugs. In sending a mail to the bug you defer it. Longer term, fixing the bug would be good. Do you need a one-time sponsor? If yes, consider handing me a pgp-signed .dsc or git tag. Helmut
