I have made a dependency diagram to get it right:
texlive-pictures -> pgf
beamer -> pgf
beamer -> xcolor
beamer -> latex-base | tetex-base
pgf -> texlive-latex-recommended | tetex-base
pgf -> xcolor
xcolor (no deps)
texlive-latex-recommend -> texlive-latex-base | tetex-base
Ok, I don't see a dep problem here. Hope I didn't miss anything.
