Submitting a bug against the sponsorship-requests pseudo-package[1] has
a bigger chance of success than a message in a bug.
I can sponsor this upload if you fix one issue:
* New upstream release v0.8.8 (Closes: #1134575)
This would be correct if the bug was a request for a new upstream
version, but in a case like this it is better to document what was
fixed.
Example:
* New upstream release v0.8.8
- Fixes FTBFS with newer rust-toml (Closes: #1134575)
