There is a patch available in the upstream Git repository: https://github.com/cminyard/gensio/commit/e024df7fc3d21896bd9d2e26964a0b59b7c2a91b Unfortunately, it does not apply to version 3.0.0-1 of gensio, which is currently in stable.
