AFAICT, upstream already fixed the error at some point prior to 3.4.1, so upgrading the VDB/SRA stack should suffice; thanks for paving the way with the watch file fix. I've prepared preliminary 3.4.1 packages locally and will get them into proper shape soon. Meanwhile, the stack trace *suggests* that the bug may be in the test itself rather than any actual library code.
